CSIR Information Services

This search box works like a federated search engine covering all the resources in the catalogue of CSIR Information Services (CSIRIS). It is good starting point to find information. Then move  to the specific databases with the most relevant information. Find these databases from the publishers on the eResources list. These databases usually  have stronger search engines for more precise searching.

Copyright and Fair Use

General guidelines (Applicable to all eresources)

Our eresources are governed by license and contract agreements with publishers/vendors, access to the majority of electronic resources is restricted to CSIR employees. Each license or contract agreement contains strict guidelines on the use of the resource. The sequential or bulk downloading of articles or data from a database or single publication is not permitted. Inappropriate use may result in blocked access or termination.

It is the user’s obligation to evaluate rights issues in light of their own use. Transmission or reproduction of protected items beyond that allowed by fair use or specific agreement requires the permission of the copyright owners.

Specific Terms:

Specific license conditions may be outlined on the individual database or journal web site under a heading such as "Terms and Conditions", "Terms of Use", "License Agreement" or something similar. It is important that you read and observe these terms and conditions.
